When I was a teenager, I suffered debilitating leg pain. I saw multiple doctors, chiropractors, acupuncturists.
Doctors said I had juvenile arthritis. I was on medication for 10 years with no relief. I had surgery, which only made things worse.
In my early 20's, I started getting regular massage and exercising. Initially exercise hurt. An osteopath I was seeing, suggested I stick with it and see what happens.
I did, and within a few weeks, the pain drastically reduced. 10 years of intense pain - virtually gone.
Needless to say, I went on a deep dive to figure out why massage and exercise could make such a big difference, where nothing else had.
Now massage and movement is my medicine.

With what I have discovered in over 18 years of research and clinical experience, is that soft tissue release is incredibly powerful in overcoming pain.
I have helped many people avoid surgery, overcome aches and pains that had persisted for decades and feel so much better in their skin.
The key is understanding why the pain is there...
Aches and pains are a thing of the past, when you understand WHY they are there. I’ll show you that you can overcome aches and pains and put the bounce back in your step.
Pain can have many causes, but one thing that is almost always associated with pain, is restriction in the fascia.
Fascia wraps around pretty much everything in our body. It wraps around muscle, bone, nerves, and even organs.
The key is to release those adhesions that have built up over the years. There could be one, there could be many. Some of them will be easy to find, others will be hidden in the ‘pits’ - armpits, elbow pits, knee pits etc and other sensitive areas.
You might have tried massage tools or seen a massage therapist, physical therapist or chiropractors to help ease your pain. You may have even had some relief from your pain, but unless you address all of the restrictions there is a strong possibility that the pain will return.
When I treat clients, I use myofascial release to systematically find and unwind the restrictions in the soft tissue - even those hidden in hard to access places - so that your tissue can glide and slide like it’s supposed to.
It can be.
Many people assume that the best way to release soft tissue is with deep pressure. The most common form of Myofascial Release uses slow, heavy pressure to treat the restrictions. This can be an incredibly intense experience.
This is how I used to treat, until I realized that such an intense experience could be traumatic for some people (like my kids, who, at 3 months old could not have handled such intense pressure).
The way I release soft tissue now is quite the opposite of painful… Because I use gentle pressure, clients generally find it very relaxing, many even fall asleep!
When I figured out how to unwind soft tissue without physical force, my results skyrocketed!
With Gentle Myofascial Release I can very specifically target the areas that actually need work, rather than just plowing the whole tissue - and this includes those tricky areas that a heavier style simply cannot treat.
